"Doesn't work on anything but smooth surfaces" 2009-06-12

Did not work on my tile that has a little bit of texture. Only works on the smoothest of surfaces. Will have to return.

"just the item for a shower after having a knee replacement" 2009-03-31
By Robert P. Walters (Portland, OR USA)
I had a knee replacement and there was some question regarding safety in the shower.

Prior to the surgury, I ordered the grab bar and installed it in our shower stall. The portability is what sold me. I did NOT want to drill holes in the shower stall and install a permanent grab bar. Also, the location of the bar was in question.

I had to wait ten days after the surgery before I could shower. The day of the first shower was pure pleasure. I hung on to the grab bar and let that warm water flow for a good ten minutes. The previous ten days, all I could have were sponge baths - often called a submarine douche. Very incomplete!!

I doubt that I could have stood less than a minute in the shower if I did not have the Bridge Medical grab bar.

 "Time up" 2009-03-13
By Barbara Orth (Chicago, IL)
I did much research on this type of item and found this to have the quality and safety features I was interested in. The only downside to this product is that it needs to be taken off the wall after each use. I left it adhered and within 24hrs it was on the floor of the shower. I thought it would be a more permanent fixture than that. I didn't read this on the product description, only on the insert of the product after purchase.

 "Bridge Medical grab bar" 2009-02-24
By J. Wingfield (San Diego, CA)
We purchased 4 of these suction cup grab bars for my Mother-in-law who had broken her hip and need extra stability in her bath room. I mounted 2 in her shower, 1 near her toilet, and 1 on her sink area. She loves them. We had looked at some of the cheaper models, but wanted something that would not slip or come loose.

I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a product like this.

 "Strong and Effective" 2009-01-18
By T. Vizenor (WI)
Purchased the Bridge Medical Single Grip for my Dad who still lives at home alone. He still gets along very well but I guess it was to make me feel better. I attached it to his Fiberglass Shower Surround about a few months ago and it's holding just as strong as ever.

I tried the cheaper versions first but Dad could pull them right off - I guess you get what you pay for.

I think it difference has to do with the rubber Pads; the Pads on the Bridge Medical are very thick and strong. That must be why they work so much better than the others.
