The Amazon ingredient list for Goldies Hazelnut Carob Bar omits any mention of milk. When the product was delivered, however, the wrappers clearly list milk. This is a DANGEROUS example of negligence which could cause serious health problems for anyone who can not tolerate dairy products.

I've only tried the hazelnut flavor but it is so good i eat the whole bar in like 10 minutes! It may be sweeter and not as creamy as milk chocolate but it's delicious and addictive.

I absolutely loved these carob bars, and I ate a whole bar in a sitting several times, until I found out one bar (nicely sized a bit larger than a large Crunch bar) had 40 grams of sugar! 40! That being more than two slices of apple pie a la mode sorta ruined the fun for me, but if you can eat it in pieces, it's extremely delicious. (And eating it in pieces is also very satisfying, I just liked eating the whole bar.)

I've recently developed an allergy to the caffeine in chocolate and so have been looking for chocolate substitutes. I remembered carob from my childhood. It was the funky health food "chocolate alternative" that didn't taste too good.
Goldie's carob, hazelnut and praline bar actually tastes great! The texture is a lot like chocolate, but the taste is different. The hazelnuts and pralines aren't that obvious, they give the bar a slightly crunchy texture but don't do much to change the flavor.
If I was rating this bar as it compares to chocolate it would get a three star rating. If I was rating this bar on it's own I would give it a five star rating. So I'm settling on a four star rating.
