Most of the Clif bars are very good. They are not dry like most Granola bars and taste more like cookies. The Iced Gingerbread are very good for this season. I am looking forward to trying the Carrot Cake also. The only thing they could do to improve the Gingerbread, is to make it in the shape of a Gingerbread person.... That would be cute...

These bars are beyond amazing, beyond delicious. They transcend delicious. I love them! They manage to be gooey like a just-baked cookie, but still crunchy--how is that even possible?? They are perfectly spiced--the ginger really shines through, with a touch of cinnamon. You can see chunks of ingredients in the bar--oats, raisins, crystallized ginger, pecans, soybeans, etc. They really taste like "autumn in a bar!" I like them when I'm on a long run, because they keep me from getting hungry when I'm running for 2 or more hours. They are kind of high in sugar, 22 g for the whole bar, so I wouldn't eat them unless I was hiking, cycling, or running, or as an occasional treat. I'd say they are 10x more delicious than a candy bar, and they have 10 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber. They're a nice nugget of nutrition that are really easy to carry with you. Just toss one in a gym bag or backpack. I ordered this pack of 12 (less than a dollar a bar!!), and I'm going to order more. I don't want to go without these all winter! Maybe next spring I'll lay off the heavier/spicier flavors, but they are so perfect for fall and winter. Just thinking about them warms me up!
Oh, just in case you're wondering, I check Clif's website, and these bars are dairy and egg free (vegan, thank you), and they are also wheat-free (although they have oats, so they're not technically "gluten-free", but I am just sensitive to wheat, so this is a huge plus!). These stipulations only apply to the original Clif Bars, and their Mojo bars and other bars differ from the vegan/wheat-free line. Also, there is soy in them, so if you have soy issues, watch out. They have nuts, and they're processed in a facility that also make dairy, wheat, and tree nuts. I think that about covers it!

One of the best CLIF bar flavors to date. They are more on the sweet side, which to me most all CLIF bars are tasty and sweet. It definitely captures a gingerbread cookie with delicious icing. I ordered mine early October '09 and they arrived fresh, cheaper than Wally World (less than a dollar per bar), and in the convenient shelf display box.
I wish I could get these all year round :(

I was introduced to Clif bars while training for a backpacking trip. I found this flavor around the holidays and really liked it. These energy bars are great for those doing a regular workout or looking for a serious healthy snack bar.

The frosting on top kind of lured me in on these bars. If you like the flavor of gingerbread, you'll find these true to that taste. However, I am used to eating the Clifkidz bars and I have found the big people bars a little too gritty and greasy for my taste. I wouldn't buy again and will stick with my Clifkidz brownie bars-yum!
